Lahore CCPO meets CM, gets a pat on the back

Dogar says will not relinquish charge

LAHORE    -    Following his transfer orders by the federal government, Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Ghulam Mehmood Dogar Wednesday had a meeting with Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Ch Parvez Elahi and got a pat on his back for showing defiance against the Centre. In the meeting, Parvez Elahi embraced the CCPO and commended his bold stance of not relinquishing the charge. “Come here, give me a hug; well done,” the chief minister remarked, adding that he would not let him go to join the federal government. “You work hard to eliminate crime; the government will support you,” Parvez Elahi told the police officer who also assured the CM that he would not relinquish the charge despite his transfer orders issued by the federal government. The federal government had on Tuesday transferred Ghulam Mahmood Dogar and directed him to report to the Establishment Division after he ordered registration of terrorism cases against two federal ministers
