LAHORE - The Sapphire Punjab Junior Tennis will get underway today (Monday) here at the Punjab Tennis Academy, Bagh-e-Jinnah. The players from across Punjab will be seen in action during the event, that will be contested in boys U–18 singles and doubles, girls U-18, boys U–14 singles and doubles, boys/girls U–12, boys/girls U-10, boys/girls U-8 and boys/girls U-6 categories. Tournament Director Rashid Malik, who is also PLTA Secretary said that the opening ceremony of the tournament will be held on August 24 at 5:00 pm and will be inaugurated by him. “I am grateful to high-ups of Sapphire for sponsoring this event, which will help in promoting tennis at grassroots level. I hope Sapphire will provide us continuous support to help us further flourish this game in not only Punjab but also in corner of the country.
