SHO martyred in gunfight with gang in Balochistan

QUETTA  -  A police inspector was martyred and three others were injured in an exchange of fire between police and an armed gang in Gandakha area of Jaffarabad on Friday afternoon. 

Station House Officer Rahim Bakhsh Marri was killed in an exchange of fire that broke out between police and armed suspects when the police party was conducting a raid against the gang, which is suspected of involvement in robberies in the Gandakha area of Osta Muhammad. 

Three personnel were injured in the gunfight and rushed to nearby hospital for medical treatment, police sources said. 

The police also neutralised two notorious gangsters who were involved in various type of heinous crimes. 

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Nasirabad, Nazeer Ahmed Kurd confirmed the incident and said that when a police team under the supervision of SHO Gandakha, Rahim Bakhsh Marri, conducted a raid on the hideout of gangs and robbers, they hurriedly opened fire upon sighting the police team resulting in the death of SHO on the spot. 

Additional contingents of police , Anti-Terrorist Force (ATF) and other law enforcement agencies reached the spot who gunned down ringleader of gangs Zulfiqar (alias Zulfi) and his associate in exchange of firing. 

The notorious criminals were wanted to Balochistan and Sindh police in various heinous crimes including kidnapping for ransom and others, revealed the DIG Na
