IG Islamabad assures policemen of resolving their issues on priority basis

ISLAMABAD - Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Muhammad Ahsan Younus on Wednesday met 170 policemen and assured to resolve their issues on priority basis.
During ‘Meet the Force Program,’ he interacted with 170 officials of different divisions including 12 DSPs, 52 inspectors, and 106 sub-inspectors. The IGP said that immediate promotion would be made against all vacant seats and salary would not be deducted of those policemen getting injured during duty. The IGP said that transfer policy would be introduced at all divisions, and all postings and transfers would be made through it. No transfer would be made before three months and option would be given after this period for getting transfer somewhere else. 
The IGP said that purpose of this program is to enhance the coordination among the policemen and officers and discuss their issues. 
Islamabad police chief directed continuity of all departmental and refresher courses for equipping policemen with modern techniques. He asked the police officials to contact him in case of any disease or any other issue as prompt assistance would be provided through welfare fund. Islamabad police chief assured to stand with those policemen accomplishing their responsibilities in professional manner and honesty while taking stringent action against black sheep as well as poor performers. 
Meanwhile, capital police chief Ahsan Younus continued holding open court during which a large number of police personnel and citizens participated. IGP Islamabad listened to the problems of citizens and for their immediate solution, he issued orders to the concerned officers on the spot, while issuing orders to submit the report by taking legal action in the given time frame on marked applications. The IGP said that it is our prime responsibility to use all available resources to provide protection to the lives and property of the citizens and to resolve their problems on priority basis.
He said that citizens at open court should be treated in a respectful manner and their trust on police department should be won through resolving their issues.   Holding the open court will also ensure self-accountability, he said.
