Irate students vent anger on UHS office

MULTAN - Highly enraged at the recent result declared by the University of Health Sciences (UHS), the students of MBBS third professional went rowdy on Wednesday as they set ablaze the UHS office in Nishtar Medical College. The unruly mob carried out full throated sloganeering against the UHS and burnt their result cards as a sign of strong resentment.
The students of Nishtar Medical College have been protesting for the last three days as majority of MBBS Third Professional students have been declared unsuccessful by the UHS in its recently declared result. Earlier, the students staged a demonstration against the UHS here outside the college. A large number of medical students gathered outside the college gate and blocked the road as a result of which a severe traffic jam took place on Nishtar Road.
Talking to the journalists, they alleged that the UHS authorities expressed their bias against students from South Punjab through this result. They regretted that the biased behaviour of the university officials put the future of students at stake. They demanded the government to revise their result and declare Nishtar Medical College a health university.
