PPP politicians joining PML-N should be disqualified: Wattoo

President PPP Punjab Chapter Federal Minister for Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan Affairs, Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo has said that the approval of the resignations of certain political leaders from Punjab Assembly was an illegal and unethical act.
Addressing a press conference at PPP Punjab Secretariat on Saturday, Wattoo said that Shahbaz Sharif publicised the inclusion of some leaders of People’s Party and Muslim League (Q) in PML-N, on February 5.
He termed this action of the Chief Minister as illegitimate, immoral and unacceptable anyway.
He noted that those who joined PML-N would certainly be disqualified, as they violated oath of the party. He further added that Article 62, 63 is applicable on such politicians.
The Federal Minister put blame on the Punjab Government for avenging the political opponents, to realise which Police and all governmental machinery are being misused. He claimed that there is no one example in the present tenure of PPP of taking political revenge. He said that PPP is bettering the democratic attitudes.
Mian Manzoor Wattoo stated that the demand for Southern Punjab is a just one. The recommendations of Parliamentary Commission have been sent to the Parliament after approval of the Standing Committee, and it is expected that Senate and National Assembly will approve for it before March 16, he observed.
He mentioned that PPP has asked for applications from the electoral candidates by March 10.
He claimed that construction of the Mega Projects would eradicate power crisis. He added that Benazir Income Support Program was successful and it eradicated poverty to a large extent.
Mian Manzoor Wattoo said that soon there would be consensus with regard to Caretaker Setup, just like it happened in the case of NFC Award and constitutional amendments.
Certain officeholders of PPP Punjab were also present in the news conference.
