Bahawalpur - On the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, crackdown against illegal occupation of government lands in Bahawalpur district is underway.
Assistant Commissioner Bahawalpur City Azman Chaudhry alongwith Revenue Staff in an operation in Mouza Dera Masti area of Bahawalpur City retrieved 15 acres of government land worth more than Rs 75 million.
Occupying government lands, the mafia was cultivating crops.
Under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Muzaffar Khan Sial, Assistant Commissioners and Revenue Field Staff are retreiving government lands across the district from the occupation mafia and legal action is being taken against the occupation mafia.
Spots tournament starts
Inter Tehsil (District Level) Sports Tournament Boys and Girls will be organized by District Headmaster Association under the auspices of District Education Authority Bahawalpur from Feb 24th to 27th,
The inaugural function will be held on February 24th 2021 at Government Sadiqpur High School. Earlier, Inter Schools (Tehsil Level) Sports Tournament Boys and Girls competitions were held from Feb 15th to 20th, 2021 in which 224 Boys and Girls Higher and High Schools of Tehsil Ahmadpur Sharqiya, Bahawalpur Saddar, Bahawalpur City, Khairpur Tamiwali, Yazman and Hasilpur participated in Tehsil Wise Cricket, Football, Squash, Badminton, Basketball, Table Tennis participated in hockey, volleyball, chuckball, baseball, slow cycling, cross country, netball, literary programs and athletics competitions.
Winner runners-up teams representing their respective tehsils will participate in the opening ceremony and competitions of the Inter-Tehsil (District Level) Sports Tournament.
Chief Executive Officer District Education Authority Bahawalpur Zahoor Ahmad Chauhan issued instructions for the success of Inter Tehsil District Level Sports Tournament 2021-21 and for full participation of students in these competitions.
We also declare the activities suitable for the mental and physical development of the students. Later, the winners and runners-up teams of Inter-Tehsil District Level Sports Tournament will participate in the inter-district sports competitions organized by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Bahawalpur from March 3.
