MQM doesn’t want division of Sindh, says Farooq Sattar


KHAIRPUR - Muttahida Qaumi Movement leader Dr Farooq Sattar has said that his party doesn’t want division of Sindh province and baseless statements in this regard are being spread to malign the party.
A MQM delegation comprising Dr Farooq Sattar. Raza Haroon. Babar Ghauri, Dr Sagir Hussain, Ashfaq Mangi, Nisar Phanwar and others arrived here at Pir Jo Goth on Sunday and offered condolence with Pir Pagara Sibghatullah Shah Rashidi over the demise of his father Pir Mardan Shah. They also offered fateh for the departed soul
Later, talking to newsmen, Convener MQM Rabita Committee Farooq Sattar said that his party does not want division of Sindh province and it has already been stated by Altaf Hussain. He said that they are striving to root out feudalism from the country. He said that the MQM always struggled to defend the rights of the poor masses without any political discrimination.
Meanwhile, PPP leader Nauman Islamuddin also visited Pir Jo Goth and offered condolences with Pir Sibghatullah Shah and Pir Sadaruddin Shah Rashidi.
SSP among 5 cops injured: Five policemen including SSP sustained injuries in a road accident here on Sunday.
According to details, SSP Irfan Baloch was going to Kot Diji and as he reached near Shah Abdul Latif University at Old National Highway, his vehicle collided with a tractor coming from the opposite side.
Consequently, the SSP and other four cops including Sub Inspector Waris Bhutto, driver Muhammad Jumman Bhatti, Constable Saifullah Joyo and Muhammad Iqbal Jamro sustained injuries. They were hurried to the District Civil Hospital and are reported out of danger.  However, the driver of the tractor managed to flee from the scene.
Meanwhile, a man was deprived of his car by some armed men near Faiz Gunj.
According to details, unidentified persons blocked Mehran National Highway near Jalal Chowk in the jurisdiction of Faiz Jung Police Station and robbed the passengers coming from both sides.
Later, they snatched a car from Ikram Hussain Khaskheli and managed to runaway from the spot.
