Rift among Q legislators over portfolios

ISLAMABAD - Differences among the PML-Q legislators have reportedly erupted on the portfolios in the new Cabinet as none of them except Ch.Pervaiz Elahi took oath on Friday.Sources told The Nation that the Federal Ministers and Ministers of State of PML-Q who were also expected to take oath did not attend the oath-taking ceremony after the differences among the party. Sources further revealed that number of these Federal Ministers and Ministers of State were not ready to rejoin their old Ministries and want some changes in their portfolios. The party leadership has delayed the oath of these Ministers ,however, it will be taken as soon as the party leadership resolves these differences, sources added.    Those who are expected to take oath from the PML-Q in the new Cabinet of Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf may include Faisal Saleh Hayat, Ghous Bux Mahar, Anwar Cheema, Bahadur Khan Seher, Riaz Hussain Pirzada, Ch Wajahat Hussain, Sheikh Waqas Akram, Khawaja Sheeraz, Shah Jahan Yousuf and others who were the part of Gilani’s Cabinet. Meanwhile, Parliamentary leader of PML-Q Makhdoom Faisal Saleh Hayat has said that he followed the party line and voted for Raja Pervez Ashraf in the election of Prime Minister. Talking to journalists here, he said that he stuck to his stance of corruption in Rental Power Plant Projects introduced by Raja Pervez Ashraf when he was working as Federal Minister for Water and Power.There is a report that Faisal Saleh Hayat may refuse the party leadership to take oath as Minister in the Cabinet of Raja Pervez Ashraf.
