Govt committed to providing education, healthcare

KASUR-The government is utilizing all available resources for the provision of education, healthcare and other basic facilities to the masses, Punjab Irrigation Minister Mian Yawar Zaman Khan stated during his visit to the district the other day.
During the visit, the minister went to DHQ Hospital and inspected all the wards of the hospital. He also inquired the patients about the healthcare facilities being provided at the hospital. The Minister praised the hospital administration for their competent work and healthcare arrangements.
The minister also visited the Land Record Management Information System (LRMIS) and inquired the citizens about the facilities being provided at the centre. On the occasion, he directed the DCO to build a state-of-the-art waiting hall for the citizens at the centre.
Mian Yawar Zaman also went to wheat-procurement centre and directed the official concerned to ensure the transparency in wheat-procurement and provision of gunny bags to the farmers. Later, he checked the security arrangements at Government Girls M. C. High School.
DCO Muhammad Shahid and Public Facilitation Committee for Health Chairman Afzal Hussain Zain also accompanied the minister.
COLLISIONS CLAIM THREE LIVES: At least three persons including a minor girl crushed to death in different incidents here the other day. According to police, five-year-old girl Meerub, a resident of Bhatta Goryanwala, was on the way back home with her uncle Muhammad Javed on a motorbike when the motorbike collided head-on with a speeding truck near Baldia Chowk. As a result, Meerub was killed on the spot and Javed sustained critical injuries. B-Division police registered a case.
In another incident, two persons Khursheed and Faizan, riding a motorbike, collided head-on with a speeding truck near Purana Lorry Adda in tehsil Chunian. As a result, both of them were killed on the spot. Chunian police registered a case and started investigation
