Weather underwent a sudden change in Lahore as light rain and dust storm hit the provincial capital and adjoining areas on Sunday night.
Rain cased disruption of electricity in Lahore as more than 270 feeders of the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) tripped, plunging various parts of the city into darkness.
Rain with strong winds was also reported from other parts of the country, including Islamabad, Sheikhupura, Gujrat, Wazirabad, Nankana Sahib, Phalia, Daska and their adjacent areas.
This brought much needed relief from scorching heat condition prevailing in the region. Though the rains did not lashed long but it helped in bringing down the mercury.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department ((PMD), dust-thunderstorm-rain with gusty winds are expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan, Kashmir, Islamabad and upper Punjab on Monday.
