PPP ignoring coalition partners, says ANP

KARACHI - The gap is widening between the coalition partners of Sindh government ruling PPP and ANP, as the ANP Sindh leadership is having feelings of being ignored by its ruling partner. The ANP Sindh informed its central leadership that the PPPs leadership in Sindh had not been taking ANP in confidence regarding any decision about the governance and completely neglects them in Sindh government affairs. Talking to The Nation, Awami National Party (ANP) Sindh President Shahi Syed has confirmed that the policy of ignoring ANP by the ruling PPPs leadership in Sindh is evident of PPP is not sincere with ANP. He also said, We have been unconditionally supporting the coalition government of Sindh for the peace and stability of the province since its commencement. We have informed our central leadership about the poor behaviour of the ruling PPPs leadership with us, he added. 'We are the coalition partners of PPP in Federal government, NWFP, Balochistan and Sindh but the facts is that they have never entertained ANPs MPAs in any decision, he regretted. Shahi Syed said that he has been continually asking the chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah for one month to hold a meeting with him, but the CM is reluctant to give ANP time for the meeting. 'ANPs ministers in Sindh government are made not to appoint even a single person according to their will because the government officials have been continuously interfering in the affairs of the ministry of the ANPs ministers, he claimed. He regretted that though the coalition parties of the Sindh government had formed the core committee of the ruling parties at government level but the ruling party was not reacting in the same manner. He further said that the two parties in Sindh were taking all the decisions regarding the Sindh government, adding that they have not been taken onboard for the decisions like the extension of the tenure of local bodies or restoration of commissionerate system in the province. He said that ANP wants the continuation of the local government system in the country saying that this system has been providing a chance to the masses to resolve their issues.
