LAHORE - The PML-N Information Secretary Wednesday said that her party will challenge the PECA act in Islamabad High Court as it was against the constitution. Talking to media in Model town here, she said that Mian Shehbaz Sharif, Azam Tarar and she will be the petitioners in the case. She said that PECA law envisaged five years imprisonment without even defining the word “crime”. She said anyone who criticises the ‘gang’ will be arrested by police and FIA. She said it was an attempt to enslave media. “The govt is nervous. If you insult others, you can escape the law. If we criticise you, your incompetence and theft, then there is five years imprisonment for us”, Marriyum mocked the government. She said that PECA law should be applied on Imran Khan first. Replying to a question, she said that Imran Khan had 20 days left in power. To another question, she sounded confident about success of the planned no-confidence motion against the prime minister as she said that Opposition had the required numbers for the move.
