Mihajuddin clinches Inter School Scrabble title


KARACHI - Mihajuddin of CCA college clinched the International Master Category title of the PSO 13th Inter School Scrabble Championships which concluded here at a local hotel which is home of scrabble in Pakistan.
M Jahanzaib Khan (St Patrick High School) secured second position while M Inshal (Ladybird School) earned third place in the event.
The championship was organised by Pakistan Scrabble Association (PSA), attracted 442 players from 70 schools making this event not only the biggest tournament ever in Pakistan but also in South Asia," said organizing secretary.  In senior category, Moizullah Baig (Falconhouse School) secured first position while Syed M Ahsan (Happy Home School) got second and Abdul Moiz Anis (Ladybird School) third.
In junior category, Hammad Hadi (BVS Parsi School) marked top of the board, Lala Rukh (Mama Parsi) secured second and Arham Abidi (Karachi Grammar School) third. 
In novice category, Sumbul Siddiqui (Mrs Tahseen's School) stood first, Abdullah Ayub (National School, Badin) second and Bisma Fatima (Happy Home School) third. 
The Award ceremony was presided over by Brand Manager PSO Minhas Hassan as a chief guest who later distributed awards to the winning players.
On this special occasion, award of recognition was announced for M Hassan Bin Azad, Director Marketing, PSA by Ms Maria Soares, General Secretary, PSA for his significant performance for conducting and managing PSA activities. He was also honoured with life time membership by Tariq Pervez, Executive Member PSA.
