Army Chief interacts with award recipients during parade

| Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa along with President Alvi mingles with youth from Balochistan, erstwhile tribal areas

ISLAMABAD   -   Army Chief Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa accompanied by President Arif Alvi went to the enclosure of Joint Services parade here and shook hand with prominent personalities who have been given the title of "Pride of Pakistan".


During his brief interaction, Gen Bajwa greeted the personalities conferred with Pride of Pakistan title and said securing such honour by these Pakistanis is indeed commendable.


This was the first time that Chief Guest of the parade President Arif Alivi along with the Army Chief visited public enclosures and interacted with them.


Later, after seeing off the President, Army Chief Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa met with a group of students from Balochistan and erstwhile tribal areas at the parade venue.


Talking to youth, the Army Chief said there is great potential in the youth of Balochistan. He told them that a cadet from Balochistan secured top position at the Pakistan Military Academy Risalpur, which is a source of inspiration for the youth of province. At this the youth chanted slogans of ‘Pakistan Army Zindaabad’.


The Army Chief further told them that a number of projects for socio economic uplift of Balochistan are underway in the province, ultimately benefiting the common man.


Gen Bajwa said that more educational institutions and cadet colleges are being opened in Balochistan so that there could be more representation in the Pakistan Army from that province.


He called upon the youth not to pay attention to the statements of misguided elements on social media and keep their attention on positive things.


The youth said they were overwhelmed by the remarks of the army chief and assured that they would play their due role in the development of Balochistan and extend all possible cooperation in pushing forward the province on the path of peace and development.
