Sherpao warns against undoing 18th Amendment

PESHAWAR - Watan Party (QWP) Chairman Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao Sunday warned against undoing the 18th Constitutional Amendment and said any such move would be resisted.
He was addressing a public gathering in Dera Ismail Khan, where a known political figure Hizbullah Gandapur announced joining the QWP along with his supporters.
“The 18th Amendment was a step towards the provincial autonomy and giving rights to the smaller federating units,” he said.
He added that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was yet to get its due rights.
Sherpao said that the KP has been subjected to prolonged hours of power and gas outages.
About the issues of the IDPs, he said the problems being faced by the dislocated families had faded into oblivion due to lack of coordination between the federal and provincial governments.
Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao said that the Pakhtuns had been abandoned that has led to the deterioration of law and order on their soil.
About the planned protest of PTI on November 30, Sherpao said the PTI was promoting negativity and provoking its workers to resort to violence.
