Islamabad - Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC) Minister Riaz Pirzada has urged the players to play fearless squash during the World Team Squash Championship, to be commenced from November 27 in France.
The minister said this while meeting with squash team at his office. He wished them good luck and hoped with the tireless efforts of Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) president Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman and senior vice president Air Marshal Shahid Akhtar Alvi, Pakistan will soon bounce back and start producing better results at international level.
The minister also urged the participating players to just focus on giving their 100 percent, no matter, winning or losing, but must fight like tigers and always play for the pride of the country.
The minister also promised to announce incentives for the last year’s world junior team squash championship winning squad, while he also promised to provide special funds for the PSF for conducting the PSA events in Pakistan and players’ training and also sending them abroad for participating in the PSA events. He also announced to give players special awards, if they manage to perform well in the world team event.
Thanking the minister, PSF secretary Tahir Sultan welcomed his announcements and apprised him about the federation’s initiatives and future plans.
