Peshawar to Karachi ML-1 railway track to be renovated by end of next month: Rasheed

Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmad says the railway track ML-1 from Peshawar to Karachi will be renovated by the end of next month.

Talking to newsmen in Peshawar on Saturday, he said renovation of the track is part of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.

Sheikh Rashid said renovation of railway track ML-2 from Kotri to Attock and ML-3 from Quetta to Taftan will also be included in CPEC.

He said Rahman Baba Express Train will be inaugurated on 25th of next month, that will run between Peshawar and Karachi.

The Minister said Safari Train will also be started between Peshawar and Taxila.

Earlier, Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad says innovations are being introduced in Pakistan Railways to make it a profitable institution.

Talking to newsmen in Risalpur on Saturday, he said the locomotives will be run with latest technology.

He said foreign entrepreneurs will be given incentives to invest in Railways for increasing its revenue.

Sheikh Rashid said the government is also working for welfare of Railways' workers.
