LAHORE - Fifteen-year-old Nadir Mirza of RMTA stunned seasoned Hyderabad’s player Asif Bachani 6-1, 6-2 in first round of men’s singles of 18th Westbury Tennis Championship being played at DA Creek Club Karachi. 
According to KTA President M Khalid Rehmani, in men’s singles first round, Sheeraz Bhand beat Taimoor Aslam 6-2, 6-0, Bilal Khan beat M Umair Anwar 6-0, 6-0, Nadir Bachani beat Mustafa Tariq 6-0, 6-4. In men’s singles second round, Farhan Altaf beat Ali Asif 6-0, 6-0, Ashar Mir beat Raahim Veqar 6-1, 6-2 and Nadir Bachani beat Rehan Iqbal 6-3, 6-1. 
In U-15 singles QFs, Muneer Derbari beat Faiz Ilyas 4-0, 4-0, Dhuraf Das beat Nael Mirza 3-5, 4-0, 5-4. In U-13 singles first round, Zayd Zaman beat Abid Bachani 4-1, 4-2. In U-13 singles second round, Ali Bachani beat Nibras Malik 4-0, 5-3, Shehzer Ali beat Abdul Wahab 4-2, 4-2. In U-11 singles, Majid Ali beat Ahmed Asif 4-0, 4-0, Abid Bachani beat Aidh Imran 4-2, 4-2, Shehzer Ali beat Haziq Areejo 4-1, 4-2 and Aahil Imran beat Rohan Das 5-4, 4-2. In U-11 singles second round, Mahd Shehzad beat Zayd Zaman 1-4, 4-1, 4-1 and Ali Bachani beat Yahya Haleem 4-0, 4-0. 
In U-9 singles first round, Mustafa Naveed beat Umer Zaman 4-0, 4-0, M Qasim beat Ali Imran 4-2, 4-1 and Aidh Imran beat Zain Qamar 0-4, 4-1, 4-2. In 35 plus singles first round, Asif Mehmood beat Jahangir Khan 8-4. In 35 plus singles QFs, Rafi Derbari beat Amir Mumtaz 8-4 and Robin Das beat Habib Vohra 8-3. In 35 plus doubles QFs, Vinod Das/Fahad Anwar beat Asif Arshad/Saqib 8-3 and Abbas Bhagat/Imran Dewaney beat Amir Mumtaz/Shehzad 8-3.
