ISLAMABAD - The exchange rate of Pakistan rupee strengthened by 46 paisas against the US dollar in the interbank trading on Tuesday and closed at Rs174.30 as compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs174.76. According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of dollars in the open market were recorded at Rs175.5 and Rs177 respectively.
Similarly, the price of the euro was depreciated by 83 paisas and closed at Rs196.14 against the last day’s trading of Rs196.97, the State Bank of Pakistan reported. The Japanese Yen remained unchanged to close at Rs1.53, whereas a decrease of Rs1.40 was witnessed in the exchange rate of the British Pound, which was traded at Rs233.35 as compared to its last closing of Rs234.75.
The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal declined by 10 paisas each to close at Rs47.46 and Rs46.45 respectively.
