Through the courtesy of your esteemed paper I would like to request the concerned authorities to look into the matter of bankruptcy of Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU). The AIOU has not been able to clear their bills to the tutors and resource persons for the fall semester of 2013, which ended in October 2013 and bills for the spring session of 2014 are also overdue. I wonder if the university has become bankrupt. Though there is no default in fee deposit by the students, how could matters have become so drastic that they are unable to pay their faculty? Can someone in authority look into the matter?
