President of Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi on Wednesday has said Gilgit-Baltistan is an important part of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

President Alvi while talking to media in Skardu said, Gilgit-Baltistan is one of the most attractive areas in the world and its economy could get a boost from tourism and trade with CPEC. He also vowed that the residents of this region will be provided maximum benefits from this mega project.

The government wishes for the development of the residents of GB through trade activities, he further added.
