Covid vaccine administered to 100m people: Dr Faisal

ISLAMABAD - Ministry of National Health Services (NHS) on Saturday announced that 100 million people in the country have been administered the Covid-19 vaccine. In a statement issued here, referring to the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on NHS Dr Faisal Sultan, said that government has done its best to protect the people from the Covid-19. The ministry statement, quoting Dr Faisal Sultan said that government is administering 700,000 to 01 million doses of the vaccine on a daily basis in the country. He also said that 67.9 million Pakistanis, which are 45 percent of the population, have received at least one dose of the vaccine. Taking to social media website, the SAPM on health said, "Pakistan administers its 100 millionth Covid vaccine dose. I want to thank everyone from the public to vaccination staff, to health and administrative staff and leadership across the provinces that have made it possible. But we have more to vaccinate." Federal Minister for Planning and Head of National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) Asad Umar said that the number of vaccination in the country has exceeded 100 million.
