Dengue larva found at 39 places in Sargodha

SARGODHA    -   Health Authority Chief Ex­ecutive Officer Dr Khaliqdad Niswana said that the anti-dengue teams found larva at 39 places, including 23 indoor, three commercial and 13 cem­eteries and on highways. 

Talking to media on Friday, he said at present there was one dengue patient in Sar­godha who belonged to La­hore. The anti-dengue teams had carried out activities at 1,144 hotspots in a day while three FIRs had been registered against the owners of commer­cial points over the presence of dengue larvae, he added.

MULTAN ADMIN BEGINS TAKING STEPS AGAINST DENGUE

The divisional administra­tion of Multan on Friday start­ed taking measures against dengue on war-footing basis. Multan Division Commissioner Aamir Khattak has ordered crackdown against those vio­lating dengue SOPs. He direct­ed to seal building by serving notices and got lodged FIRs. Khattak expressed these views while presiding over the re­view meeting on dengue pre­vention here on Friday.

He said that the provincial government was committed to rid the province from dengue and directed all departments concerned to be proactive about anti-dengue campaign. He said teams should be visible in the field, adding that fake re­porting will not be tolerated. 

Multan division should be on top position across the province in dengue control. He directed to upload the an­ti-dengue activities on portal through latest Android system. “If the activities are less than the specified target, the con­cerned departments will face strict action,” he warned. 

Exemplary cleanliness ar­rangements should be made at bus and wagon stands and den­gue prevention meeting should be held at the district and tehsil levels. He directed the officials concerned to start taking zero periods about dengue aware­ness in all schools and aware­ness about dengue and corona during Friday sermons.
