Secy NA may get 7th extension

 ISLAMABAD - Secretary National Assembly Karamat Hussain Niazi is likely to get the 7th extension consecutively on Wednesday (today) as his contract has ended on April 24, 2012.
Sources in the National Assembly informed TheNation that Secretary National Assembly Karamat Hussain Niazi has completed his tenure on April 24, 2012 however he may be given another extension from the Speaker National Assembly Dr Fehmida Mirza.
“April 24 was the last day of Karamat Niazi as Secretary National Assembly but he may get another extension. The notification of his extension is being expected today,” sources said while adding that Speaker National Assembly Dr Fehmida Mirza has the authority to give extension to Secretary NA however on April, 24 she was not in her office and the announcement was expected on her return that is expected today.
It is pertinent to mention here that it would be the 7th extension being given to Secretary NA Karamat Khan Niazi while the last three were given by Speaker National Assembly Dr Fehmida Mirza.  On the other hand the 41st session of the National Assembly is going to start today just after a day ending with the completion of 6th contract of Karamat Hussain Niazi as Secretary NA and no such notification or announcement was reportedly yet made for a new secretary NA or the extension of the existing secretary.
