Christmas Peace Train leaves for Sahiwal today

Christmas Peace Train which started its country wide journey from Islamabad will leave for Sahiwal today (Monday).
The Christmas Peace Train had arrived at the Railway Station of Lahore on Saturday evening.
A grand cake cutting ceremony was also held on this occasion at Railway Station to mark the Christmas celebrations. Federal Minister for Human Rights Senator Kamran Mihael was the Chief Guest of this event which was attended by a large number of Christian community including men, women and children.
While talking to the media, Federal Minister for Human Rights Senator Kamran Mihael urged the Christian community to use this auspicious occasion for refreshing their commitment and put all their endeavors to make this country more stable and prosperous. He emphasized on unity and harmony among all minorities and said that unity is a dire need of time and it is only way to fight with internal and external challenges and to conquer the world. Michael said Peace train is a symbol of unity and will promote tolerance, peace and equality.
He said this step will spread the message of love, harmony and will help to eradicate religious intolerance. He congratulated all Christian community on this auspicious event and stressed on collective efforts to grow faster and to touch new horizons of development.
Minister Kamran Michael shared that Ministry of Human Rights and Railway have run Christmas peace train to express solidarity with Christian community in connection with Christmas celebrations. Followed by special prayer, this event was more luminous with the performance of Famous Pakistani artists who joined their hands to celebrate this event. Decorated with Christmas tree, Peace train has three art galleries and two floats, which reflect religious harmony and love for Pakistan.
The train will stay in Lahore for two days and will leave for Sahiwal on Monday. The train was warmly received in the Lahore by scores of Christian, officials, media and others.
