PML-N spokesperson challenges PM Imran, his aide to furnish evidence against Shehbaz

LAHORE - PML-N Information Secretary Marriyum Aurangzeb has challenged Prime Minister Imran Khan and his advisor Shahzad Akbar to appear before the court with evidence against Shehbaz Sharif or shut up with their fictitious money-laundering case, false propaganda and smear campaign.

“On January 4, Imran and Shahzad Akbar should come to the court with a box of evidence. Bring that evidence to support your false allegations being peddled for the past three and a half years. The people of Pakistan will find out on January 4 who was actually on the run,” she said in a statement.

Marriyum said: “There is no point in responding to anything Shahzad Akbar says because he, like his master Imran, is a pathological liar who has been embarrassed by courts and yet he shamelessly continues to lie because that’s what he is hired for.”

The former information minister said that Shehbaz Sharif faced every false case and accusation daily. “Now it’s Imran Khan and his tout’s turn.” She said that Imran had been facing disgrace for three years with the so-called files of cases against Shehbaz Sharif, and all this while, Imran himself was absconding from NAB, NAB Court, Lahore High Court and Supreme Court. “Imran should also appear in the defamation suit filed by Shehbaz Sharif and bring evidence instead of running away,” she added.

“It has been one and a half years since the false FIR of money laundering was filed against Shehbaz Sharif. So far, no evidence has been furnished. Evidence of Imran’s allegations against Shehbaz Sharif has been missing since day one. There is no evidence of corruption and corrupt practices in the FIA challan,” she maintained.

Marriyum further stated: “The way the Daily Mail and its tout Shahzad Akbar fled from the London court is called running away. After the failure of NAB, FIA is being used only to fulfill Imran’s desire for political revenge.”
