The present finance minister of Pakistan, Mr. Shaukat Tarin is said to be on his way out for reasons not yet clear. The government would probably be looking out for another banker, preferably from Citi Bank or any of the other western banks. But a countrys economy is not a balance sheet of the profit and loss in the account of a bank. This is particularly true of Pakistan economy, which is still rudimentary in structure and mired in many very complicated issues that need an economic visionary rather than a 'two-plus-two financial expert.
