Nawaz to be next PM, PML-N president: Maryam

Addressing a media workers’ convention of the party at Company Bagh here, Maryam Nawaz said no power on the earth can remove Nawaz Sharif from politics as he lives in the hearts of millions of Pakistanis. She claimed: “A NAB witness has given his statement in our favour.”

She said former premier Nawaz Sharif launched movement for the restoration of the judiciary when Pervez Musharraf removed 60 judges; the then chief justice was also sent home. It was the time when lawyers took to the streets, but now when Nawaz Sharif went to the people’s court, some people started saying he is doing wrong and wants clash with the judiciary.

Maryam asserted the whole situation and the decisions of the apex court had increased the power and respect of Nawaz Sharif. She stated PML-N would sweep the 2018 general elections and come to power.

Later, Maryam Nawaz inaugurated Nawaz Sharif Hall at the district office of PML-N.

Meanwhile, an old woman who wanted to hand over her application to Maryam Nawaz for redress of her complaint regarding land grabbing was pushed aside from the stage by policemen.  According to another incident, PML-N minority wing leader, Mushtaq Gill, got annoyed and left the meeting venue for not accommodating him on the stage.
