PPP wants CoD implemented but not through illegal, means: Bilawal

LAHORE - Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that Pakistan Democratic Alliance (PDM) has set short and long term goals.  Addressing a press conference here Wednesday, he said that short term goal was to send this selected and puppet government packing which has added to people’s woes.  Flanked by former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani and other PPP leaders, Bilawal said the long term goal was to strengthen the democracy. He said that responsibility of the opposition was to fight for rights of the people. This government tried to carryout massive rigging in bye-election in Daska but was exposed, he said.  He said that if the establishment was neutral then it was a good omen. To another question, he said that the PPP desired implementing every clause of the Charter of Democracy but not through illegal or unconstitutional means. “We all jointly worked for supremacy of the parliament and succeeded and now the government has also started talking to their own members who they were ignoring for the last 30 months. We are fighting this battle with less numbers for democracy. We are giving a tough time to the government and will continue to do so.
