Abu Talib paid glowing tribute

ISLAMABAD
The death anniversary of beloved uncle of the Holy Prophet (SAWW) Hazrat Abu Talib (AS) was observed with solemnity here.
In this connection, Quran Khawani was held in all mosques and Imambargahs of the capital and a conference was organised at Jamia Tul Kausar, Islamic University here on Saturday.
Markazi Imam Hussain Council Chairman Dr Ghazanfar Mehdi chaired the conference. Speaking on the occasion, he said that Hazrat Abu Talib (AS) was a great philanthropist and it was moral duty of the Muslims to introduce his welfare reforms and activities which he did for reformation in Arab society.
He said that Hazrat Abu Talib (AS) and Hazrat Khadija Tul Kubra convinced Arabs not to kill minor girls and instead established Darul-Aman and safe houses and provided education and other facilities till marriages of girls.
He said that Hazrat Abu Talib (AS) established first-ever Baitul Mall for the needy and houses for orphans in the same way.
Speaking on the occasion, Jamia-Tul-Kausar, Islami University Rector Allama Sheikh Mohsin Ali Najfi said that Hazrat Abu Talib (AS) was a great protector of Islam and he provided all security to the Holy Prophet (SAWW) and his movement for preaching Islam.
Allama Mohsin said that Holy Prophet (SAWW) declared death day of Hazrat Abu Talib (AS) as Youmul Khazn (sad day). Dr Mehmood Ahmed Qadri also spoke on the occasion. Later, special prayers were offered for the victims of Peshawar.
RASM-E-SOEM: Rasm-e-soem of Syed Bashir Hussain Naqvi, elder brother of AJK Council of Islamic Ideology senior member Allama Mufti Kefiat Hussain Naqvi was held at Imambargah Alam Bukhari in Muzaffarabad here.
AJK Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed, President Sardar Yaqoob, ministers and members of AJK Legislative Assembly, political leaders and Ulema and Mashaikh attended the rasm-e-soem. Special prayers were offered for the eternal peace of departed soul. –PR
