Grade 5 student ‘raped’ in Attock

ATTOCK - A school going girl of 5th grade has reportedly been raped within the limits of Basal Police Station.

Police on the complaint of the victim's mother have registered an FIR and are on the hunt to arrest the culprit.

A female resident of Tragar told Basal police that Zaafran, a resident of the same village, tried to develop illicit relations with her, which she refused. She said that Zaafran on her refusal threatened her of dire consequences.

She in her written complaint alleged that Zaafran, last day took her daughter away, who was coming back from Govt Model Primary School Tragar at gunpoint to a deserted place, sexually assaulted her and left her by threatening her not to disclose what happened to her.

She said that she informed her husband about the incident but her husband said that the culprit had threatened him of dire consequences and it was better to hush up the issue.

She alleged that Zaafran had also sexually assaulted another daughter of her.  She further said that her husband was trying to settle the issue with the accused as he was scared of the accused and his relatives.  She claimed that some relatives kept her and her husband in the house forcing them for reconciliation with the accused party.  On the complaint of the mother, police have sent the victim to hospital for medical examination and are trying to arrest the culprit.
