PESHAWAR-Noor Zaman and Humam Ahmad of PAF won the Fata National Junior Squash Championship U-15 and U-13 played openers here at the PAF Hashim Khan Squash Complex on Wednesday.

Noor defeated Fawad Hussain of KP 3-0 in the first round and marched into the second along with Hamza Zahid, Fahad Sharif, Hammad Khan, Abbas Nawaz, Hasnain of Balochistan and Ali Sher of PAF.

Hamza Zahid defeated Waji Ullah 3-0, (11-5, 11-8, 11-5), Fahad Sharif beat Afaq Khan 3-1 (10-12, 11-9, 11-7, 11-5), Hammad Khan beat Saad Zubair 3-0 (11-4, 11-9, 11-7), Abbas Nawaz beat Bilal Ahmad 3-0 (11-4, 11-8, 11-9), Hasnain of Balochistan beat Muhamad Talha Iqbal of KP 3-0 (11-9, 11-7, 11-9) and Ali Sher routed Khakan Malik of Punjab 3-0 (11-9, 11-3, 11-9).

In U-13 category, Humam Ahmad of PAF stunned Azlan Khawar of Punjab 3-1, as the score was 11-6, 11-6, 10-12, 14-12. M Hamza of PAF defeated Abdul Mugeet 3-0, Yasin Khattak beat M Talha 3-0, Huzaifa Zahid beat Abu Zar Imtiaz 3-0, Mutahair Ali Shah beat Majid Khan 3-1, M Khan beat Rahim Abbas 3-1, Sheraz Akbar beat Saboor Khan 3-0, Ammad Ahmad beat Omar Arshad 3-0.

In the U-11 category, M Hanif beat Sakhi Ullah 3-0, Ibrahim Mohib beat Ibrahim Zeb 3-0, Nahab Khan of Balochistan beat Saif Ullah of KP 3-0, M Shoaib Afzal beat Moeen Uddin of Punjab 3-0, Mobeen Khan of PAF beat Huraira 3-0, Hassan Zahid beat Raja Sikandar 3-2 and Abdulah Nawaz of PAF beat Ahad Khan 3-0.

In U-17 Uzair Shoukat beat Rafi Khan 3-0, Rashid Daulat beat Atif Malik 3-0, Hamza Sharif beat Abdul Wajid 3-0, Khurshal Riaz beat Saqib Iqbal 3-1, Mavia Hussain beat Arbab Mehran 3-0, Asad Ullah thrashed Ahmad Hassan 3-0 and Farhan Hashmi beat Awais Ahmad 3-1.

Shinwari Welfare Organization president Haji Aslam, former world champion Qamar Zaman, Fata Olympic Association president Shahid Khan Shinwari, SWO secretary Asad Khan, executive member Wazir Gul, officials, players and a large number of spectators were also present and witnessed the exciting matches.
