Nawaz hopes landslide in general elections

SARGODHA - PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif said that his party would get landslide in the forthcoming general elections on the basis of good character and party manifesto.
He was expressing these views at Murree where PPP candidate for NA-67 Sargodha Dr. Zulfiqar Bhatti along with 15 union council nazims defected the PPP and joined the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.
Mr Nawaz welcomed the leaders. He said that he had signed charter of democracy with Banazir Bhutto for the sake of democracy and in the greater interest of country but Asif Ali Zardari shattered our confidence. On the occasion, a number of PML-N leaders of Sargodha were also present. They also congratulated Dr Zulfiqar and his fellows.
UTILITY STORES ATTRACT PEOPLE: The Utility Stores are providing commodities at lower prices than those at Ramazan bazaars therefore, the consumers prefer to visit the stores being run by the federal government.
At these store, a flour bag of 20kg is selling at Rs415 while at the bazaars, flour bag 10kg is being sold at Rs230 and 20 kg at Rs460. Likewise, ghee and cooking oil are also being provided at comparatively less prices.
TWO HELD: Two hotel managers were apprehended over violation of Ehtram-e-Ramazan Ordinance.
On tip-off, the Factory Area police conducted raids and sealed two hotels situated near Noori gate and Niazi Medical Tower after arresting their managers Noor Muhammad and Ghulam Abbas red handed when they were serving food to customers.
STRIKE: Lawyer fraternity observed black day against the Contempt of Court Bill 2012.
They observed strike and boycotted the legal proceedings. The District Bar Association presented a reference at the Bar Room in which the DBA strongly condemned the Contempt of Court Bill and vowed that lawyers’ protest would continue.
