Boys beat gals in BISE exam

LAHORE - Boys took lead in Intermediate Annual Examination 2014 of the Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) of Punjab.  All nine boards of the province announced the names of the position holders of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Annual Examinations on Thursday.
Lahore BISE Chairman Dr Nasar Ullah Virk announced the names in a ceremony held at Lahore Board Examination Center. BISE, Lahore Controller Anwer Farooq, Secretary Faqir Muhammad Kayfi and other officials of Lahore boards were also present on the occasion.
Usama Qamar, a student of Government High School Hussain Khan Wala Chak No 8, Kasur, secured 1st position overall by securing 1076 marks. Second position was shared by two students, Ali Husnain of Pak Garrison High School Nankana Sahib and Sajeeha Ashraf of Crescent Kids Campus High School for Girls Allama Iqbal Town, Lahore, as both the students got 1072 marks each. Ramisha Aslam of Society Public Girls High School Mughalpura, Lahore, took third position by securing 1071 marks.
In Science Group (Boys) Usama Qamar of Government High School Hussain Khan Wala, Kasur, took first position by getting 1076 marks, Ali Husnain, a student of Pak Garrison High School, Nankana Sahib, got second position by getting 1072 marks and Umair Ifftikhar of Government High School Nangal Sahdan, Sheikhpura, stood on third position by getting 1069 marks.
In Science Group (Girls) Sajeeha Ashraf of Crescent Kids Campus High School Allama Iqbal Town, Lahore, took first position by getting 1072 marks, Ramisha Aslam of Society Public Girls High School Canal Bank, Lahore, took second position by getting 1071 marks, while third position was grabbed by four students including Maria Imran Ali of Adbistan e Sophia Secondary School for Girls Bahawalpur Road, Lahore, Saman Suhail of Education Center High School for Girls, Canal Bank Road Lahore, Fatima Naeem of LDA Girls High School Johar Town Lahore and Maham Noor of KIPS High School for Girls Johar Town Lahore, all of them took 1069 marks.
In Humanities Group (Boys) Shamrooz Ali of Government Public Model High School, Nain Sukh, Lahore grabbed 1st position, while second position was grabbed by Muhammad Rizwan of Allama Iqbal Public Boys High School, Raiwind Road, Kasur and Rizwan Ali of Millat Public High School for boys, Mananwala, District Sheikhupura took third position.
In Humanities Group (Girls) Tayyaba Afzal of Farooqi Girls High School, Karim Park, Ravi Road, Lahore took first position. Whereas second and third position was secured by Tayyba Tariq Butt of Pak Angels Girls High School, Punj Peer Road Ahata Bibi Sultan Pura Lahore and Amna Saleem of Government Pak Standard Girls High School, Shadbagh Lahore.
