Over 0.8 million people vaccinated in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD   -  As many as 807,632 people had so far been vaccinated against the Covid-19 in the district. District Health Officer Dr Ataul Mun’im said on Saturday that 618,921 citizens had been given the first dose while 144,834 were administered the second one. He said that sufficient stock of vaccine was available in the district, adding that 35 vaccination centers and 20 mobile vaccination camps were operational in Faisalabad.

To facilitate people, the centres had been set up in Allied Hospital, District Headquarters Hospital, Government General Hospital GM Abad, Faisalabad Institute of Cardiology, Government General Hospital Samanabad, Children Hospital, Sports Complex Samanabad, Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Jaranwala, Samundri, Tandlianwala, Chak Jhumra, Sports Complex Chak Jhumrah, Sports Complex Jaranwala, Government General Hospital Chak 224-RB, New Building RHC Khurrianwala, New Building THQ Sammundri, New Building THQ Tandlianwala, Social Security Hospital Madina Town, Wapda Hospital, Rural Health Centers Mureed Wala, Chak 174-JB, Chak 134-JB, Chak 229-Rb, Chak 65-GB, RHC Lundianwala Jaranwala, RHC Khurrianwala Jaranwala, Pindi Sheikh Musa, Kanjwani, Mamukanjan, RHC Chak 400-GB, RHC Chak 153-RB, RHC Chak 374-GB and Chak 469-GB, he said.

Man commits suicide

A man committed suicide in the area of Mansoorabad police station on Saturday. A Rescue 1122 spokesman said 33-year-old Wasim Hussain of Malik Pur took his own life after cutting his neck with an axe. The police took the body into custody and started investigation.

145 held for doing wheelie

City traffic police arrested 145 youths for doing wheelie from various parts of the city during Eidul Azha days. 

CTP spokesman said on Saturday that special teams of traffic officials were constituted to take prompt action against the wheelie doers on Eidul Azha days. 

The teams took indiscriminate action against the wheelies and caught 145 youngsters from Jaranwala Road, Jinnah Colony, Sammundri Road, D-Type Colony, Jhang Road, etc. Some of the accused were identified as Ashir, Haneef, Arif, Ehtisham, Ali Haidar, Muneer Ahmad, Muzammal Hussain, Anees, Nabeel, Sheeraz, Zubair, Hasnain, Abrar, Mudassar, Ali Ahmad, Hasan, Bilal, Zeeshan, Abdul Wahhab, Irfan, Abbas, Abdul Hannan, Ehsan, Talha, Usman, Amir, Muaaz, etc.

Cases were registered against the accused.
