PPP terms demand of Bahawalpur province just

BAHAWALPUR - The demand of giving the provincial status to Bahawalpur is the constitutional right of the local people and the government respects public demands but the government have not two-third majority in the Parliament to fulfil this demand therefore the Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has announced to include Saraiki province in the manifesto of the PPP to lessen the problems of people of South Punjab, said Muhammad Naveed Chaudhry, Coordinator, President Asif Ali Zardari. Addressing a press conference at the residence of the PPP Bahawalpur Secretary Information Muhammad Saleem Bhatti, he said that efforts are being underway to overcome energy crisis in the country and to provide relief to the people and hopefully the government would succeed in mission before the next elections to prove commitment for public services. He said that work on various schemes was under way to overcome the energy crisis and surely the government would solve the problem of loadshedding soon. Naveed Chaudry said, We fully respect the public mandate and we wanted to serve the nation and country on a national agenda so we have to work for national cause collectively and with unity so PPP opened the doors for every political force to join hands for the betterment of the country and did not want confrontation with any one to save country from various problems so it would be better for the PML-N to review its policies to strengthen the democratic process in the country. He said that President Asif Ali Zardari had been trying his best to promote democratic process in the country and offered for a roundtable conference to all the political parties for reconciliation for national interest as he did not believe in the politics of confrontation and allegations so the propaganda against the President Zardari should be stopped for healthy traditions in the national politics. He said that the federation had been fulfilling its commitments under the NFC Awards despite deficit which was the clear prove of the PPPS commitment for the promotion of democracy. He made it clear that the PPP had no intentions to make any issue for personal gains by the Benzier Bhuttos murder case and facts would soon be opened and added that he was not here on any organisational process.
