ATTOCK: Police have arrested the alleged culprit who had slaughtered two women and three children in village Jatial a week ago and had escaped from the crime scene. District Police Officer Attock Hassan Asad Alvi said this while talking to newsmen.
He said that after the heinous crime a special team headed by DSP Hazro Raja Fayyaz Ul Haq was constituted. The team after making hectic efforts using modern, traditional and information technology techniques to trace the culprit and arrest him.
He said the culprit Hanook Masih s/o Boota Masih r/o T.T.Singh has been sent behind the bars. He said the police team included DSP Raja Fayyaz Ul Haq, SHO Javed , Sub Inspector Jahanzeb Khan and others using their professionalism did a great job for which they would be rewarded.
DPO Alvi said that all available resources would be utilised to maintain peace in the district and nab the criminals and no lenient view will be taken in this regard. DPO said that during the initial investigation the accused confessed to his inhuman act and disclosed that Muhammad Waseem had made illicit relations with his wife Alishba . Alishba latter eloped with Waseem and contracted marriage with him.
Hanook further said that he was greatly disturbed by this act of his wife and Waseem and to take revenge he decided to slaughter the whole family of Waseem including his children.
It is pertinent to mention here that on 14th of this month five persons of the same family including two women and three children were slaughtered mercilessly in the jurisdiction of Hazro Police station almost 16 km away from district headquarters and the culprit had escaped. Waseem who is barber by profession had two wives and three children living in village Jatial in the same house. Those slaughtered mercilessly included Alishba and Naila both wives of Barber Waseem and his three children namely Hassan , Kashan and Usman aged two to six years. Police had reached the spot, shifted the dead bodies to hospital after collecting evidences and had started investigation. Waseem hailed from Karachi and is settled in Jatial.
