Nawaz to be chief guest at Jamia Naeemia ceremony


LAHORE – Jamia Naeemia will celebrate its 59th Foundation Day on Wednesday. The four-day celebrations will start on Sunday with all Punjab Qirat competition. It will be followed by debate competitions on Monday and a book fair on Tuesday. This was said by Jamia Principal Raghib Hussain Naeemi.
He made this announcement while addressing a press conference on Saturday along with other leaders. He said that the final day was reserved for the 14th Mufti Azam Mufti Muhammad Hussain Naeemi seminar in the morning session whereas degrees awarding ceremony and Dastar Bandi will be held in the evening session. The Mufti Azam seminar will be presided over by Pir Naqeebur Rehman of Eidgah (Rawalpindi) while PML-N President Mian Nawaz Sharif will be the chief guest. Besides, other leaders on the occasion will include chairman Muttahida Ulema board Pir Aminul Hasnat Shah, Pir Riaz Hussain Shah, Maulana Ghulam Muhammad Sialvi, Pir Atiqur Rehman, Dr Amir Liaqat Hussain, Pir Khalilur Rehman Chishti, Sarwat Ijaz Qadri, Suhail Warraich, Ajmal Niazi, Orya Maqbool Jan and others. He said that the Dastar Bandi would be chaired by Mufti Munibur Rehman, Dr Amir Liaqat Hussain and others. On this occasion, Jamia Naeemia leaders demanded that government stop drone attacks and permanently discontinue Nato supply line on priority basis to rid the nation of US slavery.  They proposed that Pakistan should launch a global diplomatic campaign to form a Muslim bloc and get out of the US Coalition.
