‘RIS developing students’ modern skills’

The RIS has a strong association with Microsoft for becoming truly innovative by bridging the gap between technologies and teaching methodology, says a press release issued here yesterday.

 In continuation of Microsoft Initiative; Microsoft Education Programme offers a range of professional development programmes to bridge the gap between technology skills and innovative teaching. It provides traditional software trainings to provide a scaffold that supports educators of all skill levels on their learning journey.

RIS Pakistan has been selected by Microsoft as one of the 80 outstanding mentor schools from around the world for their leadership, innovative teaching practice and student centred approach. Microsoft Pakistan has been supporting educational initiatives for integration of ICT and Mentor School Programme is amongst initiatives.

Recognised as a global leader in education via social media and other Microsoft channels, Roots International Schools have their representation on different elite forums of Microsoft for example top 50 teachers of the world & Microsoft Mentor School status forums.

The Roots International Schools have participated in Microsoft Educator Platform where more than 3000 educators from 100 countries, are registered and involved in different educational activities. They have selected 300 educators as of Microsoft Innovative Expert Educators and RIS is proudly announced that four MIEE are selected in this global forum of Microsoft for the year 2015-2016.

Each year, Microsoft selects innovative educator experts to share ideas, try new approaches and learn from each other through a global community dedicated to improving student outcomes through technology. “Microsoft Innovative Educator Experts are inspiring examples of educators applying new ways of teaching and learning in their classrooms that motivate students and empower them to achieve more,” said Anthony Salcito, Vice President Worldwide Education, Microsoft.

In recognition to the above stated facts Microsoft has presented a tablet & laptop to CEO RIS Waleed Mushtaq in recognition of his unprecedented contribution towards Microsoft programmes initiatives and products offered in Pakistan throughout the numerous campuses of Roots International School.
