FM flayed for US visit

LAHORE - The foreign minister visiting the US should have cut short her tour after the serious allegations of the US against Pakistan, say leaders of Pakistan Democratic Party (PDP). PDP president, Nawabzada Mansoor Khan, secretary general, Nawaz Gondal and secretary information, Martin Javed Michael expressed these views while addressing a press conference at party office on Saturday after reviewing the arrangements in connection with PDP founder, Nawabzada Nasrullah Khans 8th death anniversary to be held tomorrow. They said that main ceremony regarding the death anniversary of Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan would be held at his native village Khangarh, while similar ceremonies would also be held at party offices across the country. They said that leaders were least bothered about the chaos in Karachi, Abbotabad incursion, expansion of US embassy, foreign plans of greater Balochistan, as they were only interested in prolonging their corrupt rule by any means, claim PDP leaders while saying that Pakistan was passing through dangerous times in context of external threats said that the foreign policy has completely failed to protect the national interests of the country. They remarked that it has become difficult for a common man to have a one-time meal due to the sky-rocketing prices and increase in utility bills almost every week. PDP leaders said that it was the need of the hour for expressing the spirit of solidarity to counter the evil designs of the foreign powers, while formulation of an independent foreign policy was also needed to defeat the enemies of Pakistan on diplomatic front as well as making more friends among the comity of nations. They said that PDP to achieve the targets to save the country and putting it on the road to real progress was contacting several likeminded political forces. PDP leaders also proposed for calling an all parties conference at the earliest to build consensus over the most sensitive issues linked to countrys national security. They also pledged on this occasion to take forward the mission of 'Baba-e-Jamhuriat Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan for strengthening democracy and democratic norms in the society.
