Not even a single penny corruption charge against PM

| Shehbaz Sharif says opponents remain unsuccessful | Inaugurates wheat harvesting drive

BAHAWALPUR-Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif yesterday declared that there is no allegation of corruption of even a single penny against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and those shouting over Panama leaks will be held accountable once the commission completed the probe into the leaks.
“The prime minister has written to the Chief Justice of Pakistan for the constitution of a commission to probe the Panama leaks and now we should wait for its verdict.”
Punjab CM Shehbaz Sharif stated at the inaugural ceremony of wheat harvesting campaign 2016 here at Kazim Agriculture Farm in Sheikh Wahan area of Khairpur Tamewali on Monday. The chief minister formally inaugurated the campaign by operating a thresher himself.
Shehbaz Sharif alleged that Imran Khan and Tareen are usurping public money by waving off their loans, adding that Sharif family would be answerable to the nation if corruption of a single rupee is proved against them. “With the grace of Almighty Allah by the end of next year and in the start of 2018, darkness will be eliminated from the country,” he claimed.
He said that Bahawalpur-Hasilpur Road would be completed in the current year for which funds would be issued soon.
Taking jibe at the opponents, the CM said that despite holding darnas and demonstration, these elements would remain unsuccessful as they had been 2014. “They (opposition) fear that if electricity generation projects get completed, their politics will get buried that’s why they are resorted to demonstrations and protests out of tension and anxiety,” Shehbaz Sharif claimed.
While addressing the agriculturists, the Punjab CM said that with the blessing of Allah Almighty Allah, the province would harvest a bumper wheat crop, adding that this year, the number of gunny bags per acre has been increased to 10 from 8 bags and small farmers would be given priority in the distribution of gunny bags.
The chief minister said that for the convenience of farmers, presence of their representatives at wheat purchase centres has been made mandatory while through computerized system, registration of farmers and their complaints would be monitored. He informed that the government would purchase 4 million metric tonnes of wheat with Rs130 billion in the current year, adding that 377 wheat purchase centres have been set up across the province.
The chief minister also announced provision of tractors to small farmers on subsidized prices, adding that in the next fiscal year subsidy on tractors will be increased from Rs200,000 to Rs300,000. He also announced subsidy for small farmers on the provision of diesel-run tube-wells, saying in the upcoming budget subsidy on 850,000 diesel tube-wells would be offered.
He said that for prosperity of the farmers and development of agricultural, historic package of Rs100 billion has been announced, promising that each and every penny of this package would be spent on the farmer’s welfare.
“Wheat procurement system has been made transparent and interest of small farmers will be protected at every cost. In the next two years, the farming community will be prospered with Rs100 billion package,” he pointed out.

The chief minister met the families of police officials martyred during Operation Zarb-e-Aahan in Kacha area in Police Lines Rajanpur and also addressed “Darbar” of the district police. Talking to the heirs of martyrs, he said that the government equally shares their grief and blood of the martyrs would not go in vain rather their blood would always warm hearts of the nation. “Police martyrs have sacrificed their lives for a greater purpose and martyrs have left a message for the Punjab Police that valour and bravery is the only way and by choosing this path, nations remain alive.” “Life spent in fear is not a life; we cannot bring back the martyrs but taking care of their families is our responsibility and as long as their children want to get education in colleges and universities, the Punjab government will bear their expenses,” he declared.
He said that martyrdom is priceless but to live in this world, the government has made a comprehensive policy to meet the social and economic necessities of the families of the martyrs. He said that he cannot explain the status of the martyrs, however, Quran acclaims greatness of the martyr and “we salute the sacrifices of the martyrs.”
The Punjab CM also gave financial assistance of Rs5 million and Rs2.5 million for house to each of the martyred cops heirs.
While addressing with the Police “Darbar,” the Punjab CM said that this example of martyrdom teaches that in observing duty, there is no value of rest and other luxuries.
He said that in 2000 this criminal gang established in this area and several operations were conducted against them and now brave solider of Army, Rangers and Police have conducted this operation, which is not an easy task. The Punjab CM paid tribute to the Park Army, Rangers and Police and said that everyone together overcome the professional criminals on which they deserve to be praised and now without going into the past “we have to learn a lesson and make the plan of action for the future.”
