QUETTA - Dr Muneer Baloch, President, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Balochistan said on Wednesday that the incumbent federal government under the leadership of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has ensured conducting the election of local bodies in the country in order to strengthen democracy at grass root level. Addressing a press conference at Quetta Press Club with Bari Bareach, General Secretary, Muhammad Asif Tareen, spokesperson for PTI Balochistan and others, he said that PTI had awarded party tickets for the election of Quetta Cantonment Board to those candidates who had committed to serving the masses.
He remarked that PTI had awarded tickets to five candidates, including Dost Muhammad, Ward No 1; Bashir Baloch, Ward No 2; Manzoor Ali Nazri, Ward No 3; Abdul Salam, Ward No 4; and Shafique Bhatti, Ward No 5. He added that the mission of PM Imran Khan to provide basic amenities of life to the masses at their threshold would be conveyed to each and every home of the country and the province.
He urged office-bearers and workers of all wings of the party to take an active part in the campaign of forthcoming election of Quetta Cantonment Board. On the occasion, leaders of PTI, Dawood Panezai, Malik Naseebullah Betani, Malik Faisal Dewar, Alam Kakar, Zulekha Mandokhail, Sanaullah Agha and others were also present.
