Askari Club, Omega Club to clash in Quaid Basketball final

LAHORE - Askari Basketball Club and Omega Basketball Club made it to the finals of the 16th Quaid-e-Azam Gold Cup Basketball Tournament 2021 at the International Abdul Nasser Basketball Court, Aram Bagh, Karachi. 

In the first semi-final, Omega Club defeated Karachi Basketball Club by 57 basketball points against 56 after a thrilling contest in the first semifinal. Demonstrating 28 with the help of 5 three pointers, Hassan Zafar scored 15 and Irfan Patel 11, Saad Shamsi 14, Asad Imam and Danial Ahmed scored 13 each. From the losing club, Syed Bakhtiar (17), Anas Usman and Shah Mir Zaheer (10, 10) and Kamran Bashir and Mohammad Fahad (10, 10) from Runner-up Club. Mohsin Zia remained prominent player by scoring 9 basketballs. 

Amir Sharif, Amir Ghias and Ghulam Muhammad Sneer performed as match referees while the technical officials were Zaeema Khatun, Naeem Ahmed, Mumtaz Ahmed and Ashraf Yahya. President Karachi Basketball Association Ghulam Muhammad Khan, Secretary Sindh Boxing Association Master Asghar Baloch, Zahid Malik and other personalities were also present on the occasion.
