Saad Rafique sends Rs5b defamation notice to PTI’s Fawad

LAHORE - Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique Sunday sent a legal notice of Rs5 billion to the PTI spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry asking him to apologise over blaming him for Ashiana Housing scam in 14 days or otherwise face legal consequences.

He said the allegations levelled by the PTI leader were baseless and the constitution of Pakistan gives the right to every Pakistani to safeguard his integrity and reputation.

“No one could give derogatory remarks against anyone without any reason, “he said adding that Fawad should tender voluntary apology over his remarks and if he would not apologise in 14 days, then the applicant could initiate legal proceedings against him.

It is pertinent to mention here that Fawad Chaudhry blamed Khwaja Saad Rafique for owning Paragon City and also accused his brother of having hand in arranging Rs 14 billion tender for a company in Ashiana Housing Scheme.
