Lahore - Former Lahore nazim Mian Amer Mahmood’s father passed away yesterday. The funeral of Mian Zahoorul Haq was held after Asr prayers at Jamia Mosque E Block Model Town. A number of people attended the funeral.
President Mamnoon Hussain, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, four CMs and other religio-political people offered condolences to the bereaved family. Former president Asif Ali Zardari, Punjab Governor Rafiq Rajwana, Opposition Leader in the National Assembly (NA) Khursheed Shah and Azad Kashmir PM Chaudhry Abdul Majeed, Imran Khan, Sirajul Haq, Liaqat Baloch, Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan, Punjab DIG Aftab Cheema, SSP Raja Riffat, Sohail Ahmed, Supreme Court Bar President Barrister Ali Zafar, Secretary Asad Manzoor Butt and Pakistan Bar Council Vice-Chairman Azam Nazeer Tarrar also shared the grief with Amer. They pray the Almighty may rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude.
