peshawar - The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) on Monday approved 24 schemes, pertaining to road, multi sectoral development, health, education, agriculture, sports & tourism, urban development sectors for the uplift of the province, with an estimated cost of Rs19112.937 million.
The 15th meeting of PDWP was held under the chairmanship of Shakeel Qadir, Additional Chief Secretary P&D Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, through video link. The meeting was attended by members of PDWP and concerned departments.
The forum considered 31 schemes pertaining to road, multi sectoral development, DWSS, health, higher education, elementary & secondary education, agriculture, sports & tourism, BOR and urban development sectors for the uplift of the province. The forum approved 24 schemes with an estimated cost of Rs19112.937 million. Seven schemes were deferred due to inadequate designs and were returned to the respective department for rectification.
The details of schemes approved are as under:
Road construction & rehabilitation of road from Takia Sheikhan to Dager Maira via Rajoya and road from Tharna to Ghora Bazfran (6-km), district Abbottabad
Road F/S and design of projects of various roads sub-scheme: Construction/rehabilitation of road from GS Marble Factory to Legani 36-87km district Buner. (36.60km)
Road F/S, design & construction of road from (i) Sulam Khand to Sira Road (6.50 km), (ii) Ghazi to Sulam Khand, Salam Khan Gali to Triman (8.5 km) and (iii) Ghazi Jari Kas Road (5-km), district Haripur (20-km).
Road construction of 5km road & its drains from Swabi Interchange to Swabi University (New Campus) Swabi Road 08 Nos Road in District Hangu.
Multi sectoral development integrated project for implementation of the CCI recommendations to address high population growth rate.
Multi sectoral development provision for research studies/consultancies/surveys/detailed design/feasibility Studies.
Sub-Scheme: Concept note for feasibility study (PC-II) of command area development of small dams in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
DWSS/WSS scheme and distribution work district Dir Upper.
DWSS construction/rehabilitation of water supply scheme in PK-40 & 41 district Haripur
Health expansion/upgradation of Khyber Girls Medical College, Peshawar for additional students of merged districts (AIP).
Health upgradation of existing 09 nursing schools of the province to nursing colleges (HMC, LRH, KTH Peshawar, Kohat, Bannu, D.I.Khan, Mardan, Swat & Abbottabad) (Phase-I & II).
Health T.B. control programme in FATA. [MA]
Health establishment of Fountain House in Peshawar.
Health Khyber Institute of Child Health & Children Hospital (District Peshawar)
