PR failed torecover billions of rupees

LAHORE - Audit General annual report of 2009-2010 has revealed various embezzlement cases worth billion of rupees in Pakistan Railways. According to detail, the management of PR has miserably failed to recover long-standing dues from various departments including Wapda, Defence, Royal and Palm Golf and Country Club. The report further revealed that Pakistan Railways has to bear a loss of over Rs 40 million from CDA. Likewise, PR wasted Rs 7.8 million in decorating its bungalows after violating rules and regulations and washed out Rs 10 million in hiring a consultant for the restructuring of department.
