KARACHI - Special Assistant to Chief Minister for Information Science and Technology Dr Sikandar Ali Shoro has said the Sindh government has launched a website (www.sindhrozgar.gos.pk) to centralise the data of all those applying for government jobs and ensure merit and transparency in the recruitment process.

So far 5,000 applicants have registered themselves on the website. Through the website, registered applicants would be able to get detailed information about the government jobs matching their educational qualifications and experience, the minister said while presiding over a meeting, which reviewed progress on the website and the registration process.

On the occasion, IS&T Secretary Pervaiz Sehar, senior officers and focal persons for various government departments were also present.

Dr Shoro showed his dismay at the departments, which published their job advertisements without mentioning the website address and asked them to enrol all the applications on the website. He said that Information Science & Technology Department had already provided all possible assistance to all departments in this regard.

He also directed the IS&T secretary to take action against the officers who did not attend the meeting through administrative secretaries of their departments.
