Pakistan will not succumb to any pressure: Qureshi

Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said on Friday that Pakistan is a sovereign country and it would take decisions in the national interest without succumbing to any pressure.

While talking to the National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser in Islamabad, the FM pointed out that cordial relations with the neighboring countries, peaceful resolution of Kashmir dispute and projecting true image of Pakistan at an international level were the cornerstone of the government’s foreign policy.

In his remarks, the speaker hailed the minister and said that in a very short span of time, the FM effectively presented Pakistan’s stance on the international stage.

The speaker also welcomed the six billion dollars Saudi relief package, saying that it would have a positive impact on the economy.
